Worth Networks specializes in a small number of industry verticals. Our methodology is driven by access to an extensive network of C-level industry contacts and venture capital leaders. We speak to the insiders who know the real players in their respective industries.

Although we work our extensive database of contacts to its full advantage, we don't rely on it alone — we also consider valid alternatives including drawing candidates from less traditional but leading-edge organizations. We make it a point to target organizations that don't immediately come to mind — companies that, at first glance, could be considered outside the focus area.

From our extensive internal database and industry contacts, we have access to thousands of potential candidates. We also target sought-after individuals at select organizations. While our experience and candidate base are distinct advantages, we also acknowledge the unique aspects of each assignment and take a customized approach to every search.

Our Approach

Our methodology is driven by access to an extensive network of C-level industry contacts and venture capital leaders. We speak to the insiders, who know the real players in their respective industries.   

1. SEARCH PLANNING AND RESEARCH
To begin, we obtain detailed knowledge of your organization and culture, often with a personal visit to your headquarters. We make sure we understand your organizational priorities and business climate as well as the competitive environment. We work closely with you to develop a profile of your ideal senior executive; this profile includes not only detailed position requirements but also an analysis of the personal characteristics and attributes necessary for success in your corporate environment. We document this information in a detailed pre-search proposal.

2. CANDIDATE IDENTIFICATION
Once we've agreed on the basis for the search, we begin the process by identifying appropriate industries, companies and functions where we expect to locate individuals with the required skills and experience. Our sourcing methods include networking with C-level executives and venture capital leaders in the space, database consultation, and direct recruiting. We DO NOT post the position on job boards; this results only in cluttering the process with resumes from serial job-seekers applying over their appropriate level. Once a set of qualified candidates is identified, each is thoroughly evaluated and assessed for overall fitness for the position.

3. CANDIDATE REVIEW AND INTERVIEWS
Next, we meet with you again to discuss the range of candidates and their suitability. We agree on which candidates offer the best experience, personal characteristics, and overall fit. Once we identify a short list of the top three to five candidates, we provide you with a career history and a detailed interview assessment on each prospect. Each finalist we present will be, in our opinion, fully capable of carrying out the position's responsibilities in a superior manner.  These are the individuals we arrange to interview with your company.

4. REFERENCE CHECKS
Once your internal process is complete and the decision is made on the top candidate, we conduct a comprehensive reference check before an offer is extended. Whenever possible we consult six or more references, representing subordinates, superiors, and peers. In addition, we verify academic degrees and professional designations.

5. FINAL NEGOTIATIONS AND OFFER
We are available to assist in negotiations-offer process — our third-party status allows us to facilitate the negotiations in this sometimes-sensitive area. We maintain regular contact with you and the successful candidate to ensure the process goes smoothly and that you are completely satisfied.

6.  STANDING BEHIND OUR WORK
We assume responsibility for the success of each new executive we place. If, for whatever reason, the individual hired leaves your organization within 90 days of employment, your company has the option of either a replacement search or credit with Worth Networks

Mike Mike Pennetti - Atlanta
Vice President, Cleantech
Mike joined Worth Networks as VP/Renewable Energy after a 20-year career in journalism. He uses the fact-finding and interviewing skills honed in his previous field to ensure that Worth Networks' clients are presented the finest possible candidates for their specific needs. Areas of expertise include solar (PV, thin film, CSP, thermal), wind, geothermal, biomass, biofuels and carbon management/finance.
